Jane Davies

CEO

As CEO of Partners for Care (PFC), Jane and her team, work as a non-profit partner of Nova Scotia Health (NSH). Complementing the efforts of NSH, PFC collaborates with businesses to improve healthcare access and to create positive service experiences for patients, healthcare providers, and communities across Nova Scotia.

Jane’s 30 years of experience in communications, stakeholder relations, and project management, and relationship building, along with her passion for the communities she serves, helps PFC to succeed.

 

When Jane not working, you’ll find her on the golf course. She wouldn’t call herself a pro she’s just there for the fun!

Kim Hirtle

Executive Assistant

Kim Hirtle is the Executive Assistant to the CEO of Partners for Care. Working closely with Jane, she provides daily support with communication, scheduling, board meeting coordination, and assisting the team with special projects & programs as needed.

 

In her free time, Kim enjoys volunteering, traveling, arts & crafts, and spending time with her husband, Ron, and pomeranian, Hami.

Christa Akerman

Director of Finance

Christa Akerman has over 15 years of experience in operations and finance management. As a member of the Partners for Care team, Christa works to support the strategic vision of the organization by ensuring that financial and operation oversight is at the forefront.

A former business owner, Christa’s decade of entrepreneurial experience includes relationship building, leadership management, and strategic development.

​

When she’s not working, Christa loves camping season and spending time at the lake with her friends and family.

Kim MacDonald

Accounting Coordinator

Kim is the accounting coordinator for Partners for Care. She has a background working and volunteering in various accounting roles with small business and with not for profit community focused organizations.  She continues to be an active volunteer in the community.

Kim and her husband are the proud parents of three grown children. In her spare time, you will often find her at the cottage with her dogs, family, and friends.
