Welcoming Wheels provides newcomers with cycling opportunities to increase wellness, equity, access, connectedness, and environmental health.

The Bike Buddy Program is a mentorship that pairs a newcomer ‘mentee’ with a local bicycle rider ‘mentor.’ The goal is to help newcomers feel more confident on their bikes, explore the city, and meet new people!

Bike Again is a volunteer-run, do-it-yourself bike shop. The EAC provides the space, tools, and some know-how, but you do the work. Bike Again aims to get more people on bikes, empower them to repair them, and create a community centred around a shared love of the bicycle.

Carshare programs offer short-term rentals and are a great option for households without cars. They are well-loved for their flexibility, and can help with the transition of switching to active/sustainable transportation as it allows you to rent a car only when you need one.
Communauto Atlantic provides carshare rentals in Halifax. Communauto memberships are available to all qualified drivers.
