Program Director / Project Manager
(12 Month Contract – Renewable)

Partners for Care is seeking an experienced Program Director / Project Manager to join their team of dedicated professionals in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is a remote position within the province; however, the successful candidate must routinely attend in-person team meetings in Halifax and around the province.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer & Chief Program Officer, the Program Director / Project Manager will lead the design and oversight of key projects related to PFC and the delivery of its flagship program, Lumia Health. This vital role will lead all project aspects from planning to execution and requires an individual with experience overseeing and managing projects from initiation through completion, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and schedule constraints. 

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading projects in the healthcare sector, with preference given to candidates with an acute knowledge of digital healthcare applications.

Responsibilities:
The Program Director/ Project Manager will contribute to executing PFC's strategic goals/plans and implement the objectives necessary to fulfill the mission/vision of PFC and Lumia Health. They will manage and lead critical projects, including planning, coordination, implementation, and evaluation phases. The successful candidate will develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets, ensuring adherence to project goals, constraints, and overarching PFC vision and strategic plan, and be responsible for monitoring project progress, identifying risks and issues, and implementing effective mitigation strategies. 

The successful candidate will conduct regular project status meetings and engagement sessions with leadership and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and healthcare industry standards throughout project execution. The candidate will also collaborate with clinical and non-clinical invested/interested parties to define project objectives, scope, and deliverables. 

This individual will ensure project metrics are in place to quantify and qualify successful project management and overall project status and support business development efforts by participating in client meetings, proposals, and presentations as needed. 

This role will work closely with the Chief Program Officer to coordinate the design, build, implementation, and ongoing technology experience of PFC programs and the Chief Financial Officer to ensure support of project budget, forecasting, and performance plans. 

Qualifications:
As the ideal candidate, you possess 7 years of demonstrated project management experience, leading and managing small to medium-scope projects. Project management experience within IT or healthcare, or experience working in the nonprofit sector, will be preferred. Highly resourceful with an entrepreneurial mindset, you can ‘wear many hats’ and adapt to rapid changes in tactical direction. Building and maintaining relationships with board members and other critical groups and adapting to changing circumstances and priorities in a fast-paced environment will be key to success in the role. A strong understanding of the full project life cycle and Project Management concepts is essential. Strong business and healthcare community network connectivity or experience working with Nova Scotia Health and/or other Atlantic Canada Health Authorities will be considered a strong asset. Technologically advanced connectivity with software developers/companies will be preferred. A degree or diploma in business administration, commerce, or IT, with preference given to candidates specializing in Health-Related disciplines. Project Management Professional (PMP) certification will be considered an asset.
